Product Introduction
Rounded steel grit is a high-performance metal abrasive with smooth surface and excellent toughness, made from high-quality bearing steel (such as GCr15) or high-carbon steel through melting, atomization, quenching, tempering, rounding and screening. Different from traditional angular bearing steel grit, it is specially treated by rounding process to remove sharp edges and corners, forming a smooth and rounded shape, which combines high hardness, wear resistance and gentle surface treatment effect, and is widely used in surface treatment fields that require both efficiency and surface finish.
Its production process is based on strict quality control and adds a special rounding link to ensure the roundness and performance stability of the product. First, high-purity steel raw materials are melted at high temperature to form molten steel, which is then atomized into irregular particles by high-pressure air or water; subsequently, the particles are subjected to strict quenching and tempering treatments to adjust their hardness (usually HRC 55-62) and toughness, ensuring they have strong impact resistance and are not easy to break during use; then, the particles go through a professional rounding process to grind off sharp edges and corners, making the surface smooth and rounded; finally, screening is carried out to obtain rounded steel grit with uniform particle size, smooth surface and stable performance. The particle size can be customized according to actual application needs, with a common range of 0.3mm to 3.0mm, suitable for various surface treatment scenarios.
The application scenarios of rounded steel grit focus on surface treatment fields that require both treatment efficiency and surface finish, mainly used for strengthening, derusting, deburring and polishing of workpieces with medium to high hardness. In the machinery manufacturing industry, it is suitable for shot peening strengthening of auto parts, gears, shafts and other components, which can improve the surface hardness and fatigue strength of the parts without scratching the workpiece surface; in the hardware manufacturing, precision machinery and instrument industries, it is used for surface polishing and deburring of products, effectively removing oxide scale, rust and burrs, and improving the surface finish of the workpieces. In addition, it is also applicable to the surface treatment of steel structures, hardware tools and other products that require both cleaning effect and surface smoothness.
Compared with traditional angular bearing steel grit, carbon steel shot, and stainless steel wire cut shot, rounded steel grit has unique advantages: first, it has a smooth and rounded shape, which can avoid scratching the workpiece surface while ensuring treatment efficiency, especially suitable for workpieces with high surface finish requirements; second, it has high hardness and wear resistance, with a service life longer than ordinary carbon steel shot, reducing replacement frequency and production costs; third, it has excellent toughness and impact resistance, which can maintain its shape and performance under moderate impact, avoiding powdering and breaking; fourth, it is made of high-quality raw materials, with stable chemical composition, no harmful substances, and meets the requirements of modern green production. It integrates the advantages of high efficiency and gentle treatment, and is a high-quality abrasive for medium and high-end surface treatment.
